Strong and multi-layer defense against cruise missiles was one of the objectives of the drill, which was conducted by the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corp (IRGC) units, Brigadier General Qader Rahimzadeh said.
The joint Modafe'an-e Aseman-e Velayat (Defenders of Skies under Guardianship of Supreme Jurisprudence) drill started with deploying domestic missile systems, radar, reconnaissance, electronic warfare, communication systems, and visual surveillance network in the Dasht-e Kavir on Tuesday morning.
Deploying IRGC Regional Command and Control (ROC) systems, Meraj, Fatah-2, Bashir and Quds indigenous radar systems, tactical information, and reconnaissance systems, electro-optical systems and electronic warfare systems were among programs of the drill.
